    Get ready to start a repair

    For Pixel phones that run Android 14 December 2023 update or higher with at least 2 GB space, you may  turn on Repair Mode .

    1. Prepare your device for a repair:Before you send your phone in for repairs, back up your data and remove the SIM card.
    2. Back up your data:On your device, make sure to back up your data and remove identifiers.

    If your Pixel phone isn’t eligible for Repair Mode or you prefer not to enable it, follow the steps above and factory reset your device .

    Tip:When you factory reset your device, all saved data is deleted. Learn how to factory reset your Google Pixel phone .
