Schedule a drive for a future time and get a reminder when it's time to go.
Before planning a drive, make sure to turn on "Time to leave" notifications .
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap Plan a drive
- Tap + at the bottom-right corner
- Enter your destination in the search bar
- Tap the relevant destination
- Select the day and time you want to arrive at your destination
- Tap Save
Waze will remind you when it’s time to leave, based on real-time traffic. The notification is also based on where you are at the time, but only if you allow Waze to use your phone’s GPS location.
View a planned drive
You can view your planned drive at any time.
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap Plan a drive
Delete a planned drive
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap Plan a drive
- Find the drive that you want to delete
- Tap
next to the drive
- Tap Remove
Other ways to plan a drive
Plan a drive after checking your route
You can choose to leave later after checking your route.
- Open Waze
- Search for your destination
- Tap your destination
- Tap View routes if you're navigating to a new destination
- Tap Leave later
- Select the day and time you want to arrive at your destination
- Tap Save
The drive will be added to your planned drives.
Plan a drive from a different location
Find parking near a planned drive
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap Plan a drive
- Find the drive that you want to find parking for
- Tap
- Tap Find parking. You should see parking lots on the map close to your destination.
- Tap the parking lot you want to park at
- Tap Park here
- Tap when you want to leave:
- Go now
- Leave later. To schedule a later drive, select the date and time you want to arrive at the parking lot. Then tap Save.
Note:Tapping Leave later creates a new drive to the parking lot in addition to your original planned drive. To delete the original planned drive, follow the instructions below.
Android Auto
Plan a drive on Android Auto
Disconnect your phone from your in-car system and plan a drive on your phone. Once you reconnect to your in-car system, you'll be able to see the planned drive.
Android Automotive (AAOS)

CarPlay
Plan a drive on CarPlay
This feature is currently not supported on CarPlay.
