The work of genius

I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional 'classical' musician who has begun to develop some age-related hearing loss, mostly in my right ear. I have had hearing aids for 3 years but hardly ever use them because they tickle my ears and the batteries hardly last any time.

I bought the Airpods because they are excellent for those with mild hearing issues such as mine but I had no idea just how effective they would prove to be. The 3 modes of Noise Cancellation, Adaptive and Transparency are further enhanced through the Accessibility menus on iOS devices. Through these you can modify the response of the Airpods to match your own hearing anomalies. There are plenty of online videos describing the more advanced functions in relation to hearing issues.

When it comes to music, it's the first time I've fully appreciated the virtues of Dolby Atmos and the Airpods are generally very good when partnered with apps such as Apple Music. I have to admit that listening to Elton John's Rocket man in the Atmos version actually drew tears at the 1 minute mark. Quite remarkable for me as hardened pro!

All in all I now regard these as indispensable. Great for music, fantastic for mild hearing loss, amazing at completely eliminating noise in any busy location and, all the while, people around you will think you're just listening to music which is an asset for a pro musician when others might wrongly suggest your time is up!
Happy then not happy

I was a big fan of those headphones, sound clarity, easy to switch between devices, good noise cancelling, etc.
But since the last update related to the usb-c case release, i'm really disappointed.
First, i hate the new adaptative transparency, if you like to sing a bit over what you listen, you can forget it. The firmware will lower the volume over and over. Not a big deal can you say.
Second, the regular transparency has changed radically. It used to be really transparent regarding the volume of surroundings. Now it lowers the volume of all the sounds, so i need to simply remove the earbuds to be able to talk with someone when i used to love the feeling of having nothing in my ears with the previous transparency.
I tried every setups possible, nothing brings the transparency as it was before.
And finally, the connection switching between devices is so much longer and even sometimes doesn't work at all !!
Third, the worst for me is when you listen a track with your i phone and you want to unlock it to read a message for example, the sound just cut for half a second. If you launch an app like whatsapp, same issue, but randomly.
Cherry on the cake it even sometimes just stop playing your music without any reason.
Of course all my devices ( iphone 13, MPB 13 and ipad pro ) are up to date with the latest ios/os versions.

the sound quality and bass of these earphones are clear and exceptional for listening to both music and podcasts; it's like i'm hearing all of my favorite music again with new ears, including background harmonies and production qualities that i didn't notice before. they are so lightweight and comfortable, and i haven't had any issues with them falling out, which was a concern for me as someone who goes to the gym and wears glasses. they connected to my apple devices quickly and effortlessly, and they're very aesthetically beautiful and stylish in person. the noise cancellation feature is excellent and effectively blocks out background noise, sometimes so much so that i'm unaware of my surroundings, but the level of noise cancellation and volume can be adjusted based on your surroundings. there is also a feature where siri can read your notifications as they come in, which some people may find useful. you can answer, mute, unmute, and end calls by pressing them, and there are even more features that i haven't played with yet. they are SO worth the hype and the price tag. i am beyond satisfied with my purchase, and as a music lover, i think they're really going to improve my quality of life. i will never go back to any other earphone brand. thank you!

I have finally bought an AirPod Pro, and I'm so glad I did! It's a bit pricey, but I definitely think it's worth it. They are the best-fitting ear buds I have ever had. I don't like the old style that normal AirPods have. These fit so much better on the ear. It doesn't get uncomfortable when you wear it for a long time. Wireless ear buds are such an improvement to daily life. It's so easy to use; just take them out and plug them into your ears, and it's connected to your iPhone. The case will charge your ear buds when you're not using them. You can also keep the case open and see the charge level of your case and two ear buds on your screen. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is a game changer! I use my AirPods Pro while cooking, cleaning, using my Airwrap, etc., and the noise cancellation feature cancels all of them! It's so much better to listen to music without background noise. The Personalized Spatial Audio update lets you scan your ear with the iPhone’s camera and lets your AirPods Pro play sound in a way that matches the shape of your ear. The personalized spatial audio was amazing. At first, I thought it was just a gimmick, but the surround sound feels as if you are completely immersed in it. The new Adaptive Transparency mode was alright with me. You can definitely hear more sounds as much as you would without having the earbuds on, and it also scales down harsh, unpleasant noises in the background. Now it has a Conversation Awareness Mode you can turn on. It will automatically lower the sounds when you are speaking to someone. Although you might want to keep it turned off when you want to sing along because sometimes it will think you're speaking. I definitely recommend you get them.
