Used to be good, now a scam
Save your money. Buy something else. These cameras are only real time and many of the options won't work if you don't also pay $15 per month PER camera! Now even the old arlo system I have that I purchased in good faith that had a hub to store footage is being rendered obsolete at the end of 2024. So selling new junk isn't enough theyre also eliminating the option of using their equipment that was sold before arlo became a total money grabbing scam outfit. I will never own anything arlo again and I'm looking forward to throwing all this junk into a pile in my driveway and running over it with my car. I intend to get at least a little satisfaction about losing my money.
Arlo Pro 4 security camera audio fail
Two way audio failed. BIG TIME. Twice.
After four 30 minute phone calls with Arlo to trouble shoot decided to return first box and bought anew to try again since Arlo Pro 4 is currently so highly recommended. Again, two way audio failed. Bought this camera to be able to talk to people at my door while inside my home.
After my fifth call to Arlo about the second box, Arlo indicated "as we discussed on call regarding the 2 way audio not working, when we check with the next level team they have said that there is an ongoing issue with the 2 way audio not working in Android Device. So our Engineering team is working on it. Requesting to try login the arlo account in the I phone and make an observation". I have an android phone. Tried to use Arlo on another android phone thinking maybe it was just my phone; same issue.
So disappointed. Went through quite a bit of trouble and tried to give Arlo a chance.

Great Security Camera
Purchased this as expansion to existing system. Swapped out the entry cameras for the newer model. Easy to setup with the app so it is overall a seamless process. The specifications were impressive in comparison to other products. The camera and software drain the battery quick in comparison to other models. I recommend going through options and turn off what you do not need. Setting up zones will also reduce the camera notifications and recordings. As I put my set outdoors I decided to mount them with solar power. Less climbing to change batteries and you still monitor them on your devices.
I would give it a five out of five except that it is still very expensive for a 2 pk. If you can pick them up on sale go for it as they are worth it for security comfort.

First experience with security cameras
My first experience with security cameras, so I don't have a full understanding. Video is crisp. So far, batteries hold a good charge. Have not tried out the solar panels yet. Comes with a free trial period of 2-3 months, to allow recording of video. It's been a month of use. Not sure if the subscription will be worth it, just to record video. More to follow.
