Using it daily and got a second one.
After much consideration, I decided on the 24 oz Owala FreeSip Vacuum Bottle because of the unique built-in straw/sipper set-up. I like that the "straw" top is kept clean by the way the lid closes. I prefer to use a straw while driving or riding in the car to avoid spills and not have a bottle blocking my view. The unique set-up also enables one to gulp liquids (such as to take a pill, which I don't like to do with a straw) without having to unscrew the lid or remove a straw. The staff-person who helped me said she considered it the most leak-proof of the bottles I was considering, which so far has proven to be true in spite of being held upside down or on it's side for extended periods. I am only disappointed that it does not keep ice for over 10 or 12 hours as a smaller bottle I have does. (Different brand, smaller in height as well as circumference, so I would expect this 24 oz bottle to perform similarly but it does not.) This did not keep me from ordering a second bottle so that one can be reserved for water and one for iced coffee or tea. (It is recommended that the bottle not be used for hot liquids, which I rarely drink anyway.) The bottle barely fits in the cup holders of my Prius, which are not adjustable, but it does work. I have to admit I love the colors and I appreciate that the bottle locks tightly, but the "lock" also doubles as a carry-handle when necessary. It would have 5 stars if it held ice as long as two other bottles I have (over 24 hours), but I love the design, the colors, the unique straw-sip system and how leak-proof it is. I definitely recommend this bottle.
Love Owalas but this one broke/was defective
I am a huge Owala stan so much so that after buying my first one for myself I bought 3 of my friends them for their birthdays. I specifically love the straw shape & how you can drink in two different ways, the sanitary lid, lockable feature, and how you can use the handle to hold or clip on to a caribiner/fanny pack/bag/etc. for on the go. This specific 24 once one happened to be the first one I've bought that broke/has had any problems, not sure if it's from washing it in the dishwasher or what but I believe these do say they are dishwasher safe. The spring bring and would not stay closed, luckily it was within 30 days or whatever so Dicks did refund me. However now my boyfriend is skeptical about getting another and wants to look at other water bottle options. I am still a huge Owala lover though!
Cons I will say though: the boot is protective but makes it hard to but in backpack pockets, cupholders, etc... Without a boot, it dents. I have the white color and it can get dirty easily, top lid can be hard to get fully clean. Expensive although similarly priced to other water bottles

This is a great and sustainable waterbottle for every day use. I love this water bottle with my life and I love how it has the two different options for chug or sip. It’s great for travel, and it fits easily in my backpack. I have two Owalas and two different colors, and I am obsessed with both of them the sip option is great for in the car while the chug option is great for when you need a big gulp. The water bottle is very durable and I have dropped it many times and have only had a few paint chips. The colors of these water bottles are so unique and they stay clean very easily, and are easy to clean in the dishwasher if they get dirty. this is a great water bottle and they have so many colors for everybody and made of nontoxic materials. Easy to clean, portable and it’s in purse or backpack. Keeps water cool as long as a hydro flask or Stanley, for HALF the price. Such cute design and great for nurses and others who need a closed top. Love this product and they release such cute designs for holidays and stuff! Also keeps drinks hot as well, for her 24 hrs! Great durability, great product. Highly recommend for the price.
perfection but got the 19, the 24 was a bit heavy
I absolutely adore everything about this bottle. the 24oz size wasn't for me though, ended up landing on a 19oz. I have a lot of hand pain and it seems most water bottle above 20 oz hurt to hold. especially multi layer ones. would have preferred a bigger capacity if I could, its kinda annoying to refill so much. might reconsider down the line if my hands get any better. also i think the 24 is a teensy bit thicker and that effects how much it hurts my hands.
but otherwise, perfection. love the quality, design, ice stays for definitely 8 hours, probably more, and it stays cold for longer. this is definitely gonna be my go to brand and design for a long long time to come.
oh and i take the bus and have like 30 minutes between each transfer sitting outside in 90 degree weather and what im doing is filling the 19 full w ice and water and then bringing extra water thats been in the fridge and refilling it, so i have ice cold filtered water all day long with the nice straw. i was out for around 6 hours today. i think it was like, a third or half full w ice when i got home? couldn't recommend this bottle enough. just alittle annoyed that the 24 was bigger and heavier than i thought it would be
