Video Intelligence API pricing

Prices are per minute. Partial minutes are rounded up to the next full minute. Volume is per month.

Stored video annotation

If you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on Cloud Platform SKUs apply.

If you are requesting annotations for videos for over 100,000 minutes of video per month, then contact a sales representative to discuss discount pricing.

Example

If your application made the following requests in a particular month:

• 1000 label detection requests, each containing a 1m22s long video.
• 100 explicit detection requests, each containing a 1m15s long video.

Your cost would be:

• Each request is 1m22s or 82 seconds long and there are 1000 such requests. Calculating in minutes, we have (82*1000)/60 = 1366.66 minutes of label detection. The first 1000 minutes are free; the additional 366.66 minutes cost $0.10 per minute, totaling $36.67.

• Each request is 1m15s or 75 seconds long and there are 100 such requests. Calculating in minutes, we have (75*100)/60 = 125 minutes of explicit content detection. The first 1000 minutes per month are free, so there's no charge for these requests.

Total cost is $36.67.

Streaming video annotation

Example

If your application made the following requests in a particular month:

• 200 label detection requests, each containing a 9m15s200ms long video stream.
• 10 explicit content detection requests, each containing a stream of 29m15s long video.

Your cost would be:

• Each request is 9m15s200ms or 555.2 seconds long and there are 200 such requests. Calculating in minutes, we have (555.2*200)/60 = 1850.66 minutes of label detection. The first 1000 minutes are free; the additional 850.66 minutes cost $0.12 per minute, totaling $102.0792.

• Each request is 29m15s or 1755 seconds long and there are 10 such requests. Calculating in minutes, we have (1755*10)/60 = 292.5 minutes of explicit content detection. The first 1000 minutes per month are free, so there's no charge for these requests.

Total cost is round up to $102.08.

Google Cloud Platform costs

You may be charged for other Google Cloud Platform resources used in your project, such as Google Compute Engine instances, Google Cloud Storage, etc.
