Pixel Tablets receive regular software updates that include security enhancements, new features, operating system updates, bug fixes, and more.
Check for available updates on your Pixel Tablet
You'll get a notification on your Pixel Tablet when a software update is available. To install updates, tap the notification or open your system settings:
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap System
Software updates.
- Check the screen for device software updates.
- Tap System updateto check if your Android version is up to date. Learn how to check and update your Android version .
- Tap App updatesto check for app updates. Learn how to update apps on Android .
- If an update exists, tap it

When you'll get Pixel Tablet updates
The Pixel Tablet runs Android OS. This device will get updates for 5 years starting from when the device first became available on the Google Store in the US.

Charging Speaker Dock updates
If you have a Charging Speaker Dock, you can turn on automatic updates so that your dock receives updates when your tablet is connected to Wi-Fi and docked.
To turn on automatic updates:
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Hub Mode
