View third-party Content ID claims

These features are only available to partners who use YouTube Studio Content Manager.

If a channel linked to your Content Manager uploads a video containing third-party material, they could end up with a Content ID claim. You can view videos with third-party Content ID claims in Studio Content Manager or in your Videos report .

Tip: To be notified when one of your channels gets a third-party Content ID claim, go to Settingsand then Overviewand set up a third-party claim notification .

View third-party claims in Studio Content Manager

To view third-party Content ID claims in Studio Content Manager:

  1. Sign in to Studio Content Manager .
  2. From the left menu, select Videos.
  3. Click the filter barand then Copyright claims.

View third-party claims in your Videos report

Your Videos report shows information about the videos uploaded to channels linked to your Content Manager, including whether a third-party has claimed a video. To find this information in your Videos report:

  1. Sign in to Studio Content Manager .
  2. From the left menu, select Reports.
  3. Click the Videostab.
  4. Click the version of the report you want to download. A .CSV file will download.
  5. Open the .CSV file.
  6. Filter the column “ claimed_by_another_owner” to “ Yes” to view the videos with third-party Content ID claims.
Tip: For more details on those claims, you can copy and paste the video IDs into the Content Manager search bar.

Keep in mind:

When a channel linked to your Content Manager uploads a videothat gets a copyright claim:

  • Any 1st party claims (“uploader claims”) stay activeunless manually closed by the uploader or closed due to video deletion.
  • Match policies associated with the claim aren't applied until the third-party Content ID claim is resolved (except for any geo-fencing block policies the uploader set before the third-party claim).

When you claim a videouploaded by another channel:

  • Any 1st party claims (“uploader claims”) stay activeunless manually closed by the uploader or closed due to video deletion. However, only certain videos will be monetized on the uploader’s side, such as videos eligible for the cover revenue sharing .
