This cigarette card was produced inc 1920 depicts the famous classical composer, Samuel Coleridge Taylor (1875-1912). This card was issued by the Imperial Tobaccos Company and has a brief summary of Coleridge Taylor's life, under heading of 'musical celebrities'.
In addition to being prolific in the composition of classical music , he also challenged racial prejudice by writing to various nation newspapers including the Guardian.
