Christianisation

This brooch, with a depiction of a saint, was found in the grave of a woman who had been buried according to the Christian rite. Fibula with Christian symbols were frequently worn in the transition period from paganism to Christianity, thus reflecting the wearer’s affiliation to the Christian faith.
