The Ganesh Shivaswamy Foundation
Bengaluru, India

A Portrait of the Kizakke Palat Krishna Menon family which was painted by the artist in the year 1870. It is said Raja Ravi Varma had completed his pilgrimage to the temple of Mookambika and on his return journey was commissioned by Krishna Menon to paint a portrait of his family. Seated to the extreme left is Krishna Menon and at the center (with the blue upper cloth) is his son Balakrishna Menon.
