Parakeet

The Parakeet is an intelligent and outgoing bird that is popular worldwide. Outgoing and playful, they do well if properly socialized. They can be bossy and aggressive, but they still make good first birds ! A parakeet is any one of many small to medium-sized species of parrot, in multiple genera, that generally has long tail feathers. The name is originally derived from the French word ‘perroquet. Parakeets often breed more readily in groups; however, there can be conflicts between breeding pairs and individuals especially if space is limited.
