Creating an artwork involves material processing that produces leftovers, even “rubbish”. Do these so-called rubbish still retain value, symbolic or financial, to be utilized? For this work, Ardi Gunawan collected artwork from artist studios in Yogyakarta and looked for potential new value from objects that were no longer considered valuable.
