An integral part of the sculptural group of the Crucifixion located in the Basilica of San Leone Magno. To show the sacrifice of the Son of God, the Abruzzi sculptor applies the realistic lesson of the early Renaissance master, translating into bronze the plastic value of Donatello ’s naturalism, avoiding pathetic excesses due to a rough and linear volume.
