San Francisco Riot

The 1877 riot was a two- day war waged against Chinese immigrants in San Francisco's Chinatown by the city's majority white population. The racially motivated violence resulted in four deaths and the destruction of more than $100,000 (1877 dollars) worth of property belonging to the Chinese.
