The Tula River’s meanders - Töv , Mongolia

The Tula River runs over 700 kilometres in central and northern Mongolia . This river , sacred for the Mongols, passes south of Ulaanbaatar , the capital of the country. The exploitation of subsoil wealth ensures a fast growing Mongolia, which exports coal, gold, and copper to neighbouring China .
In recent years, the country has become more urbanised and more than two thirds of the Mongols now live in cities.
