Born in New Orleans , Doyle Lane was an innovative Los Angeles -based artist working as a ceramicist from the 1950s into the 1990s. Lane's work ranged from delicate vases and bead necklaces to large architectural commissions and wall-sized works he called “ clay paintings.”
