balbek bureau is a Kyiv-based architecture and interior design studio founded by Ukrainian architect Slava Balbek. For 13 years, the studio has been designing commercial, residential, and corporate spaces in Europe, China, and the USA.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war on Ukraine, the bureau has been crafting projects in response to the war-inflicted challenges. Their system of social initiatives features RE:Ukraine Housing, a dignified temporary housing solution for IDPs, and RE:Ukraine Monuments, a monument protection system featured on the Google Arts & Culture platform.
