Album Download

this tool is a lifesaver. may i suggest now that you have a new version, instead of the extension main page saying "Please select an album in Google Photos and then click the Album Download icon", you could say something like "Please go to the Google Photos website, open the album you want to download, and then click the Album Download extension" or something like that. it took me a few minutes (and watching your video) to figure out how to do it :) thank you!!!

I paid for the subscription and downloaded the extension. I followed your video demonstration and downloaded the album via the extension but nothing happened? Can you please help?

Giving a 1-star review because it is a commercial product is just being mean. The documentation at https://albumdownload.ctaggart.com/ is very upfront that a "6-month subscription costs $3". I'll update the description here.

Thank you so much for this extension, it's very useful indeed! My only issue is that I have an album with about 1800 photos in it, and when I specify to download it, it seems to be stopping and hanging at about 1350 photos downloaded. Is this is limit of some kind or a possible problem at my end? There's plenty of space on the disk.

Yes, it is a known bug that I'm trying to address for the next major version. The workaround is to create copies of your albums split up at about 1000 photos. Details are in https://github.com/taggartsoftware/albumdownload/issues/40

Thank you so much for this! I want to give everyone a tip, if you are a realtor and need to name photos in order like 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, change the format to be {{index}}.{{extension}}. I would like to 2nd the feature request of being able to download as zip. Minor nuisance.

This was a life-saver. Thank you Cameron!! It's the only option I've found to download albums in order from Google Photos and it works great: fast, simple, and cheap ($3 every 6 months, and very easy to cancel). Just don't use strange characters in your google photo album name like colons or it can't download correctly.

Fantastic App thanks Cameron. Saved me hours of manual renaming/sorting. For the next release please consider downloading albums as zip files!

Great app! It would be nice if the downloads automatically went into the corresponding folder (album name).
