Licensing

Hi there, I'm wondering what the license is for this extension? If you don't have a current license, would you please consider making it GPL? I'd love to make some improvements to this and contribute them back, can I make some patches on Github and do some pull requests?

New windows in Chrome automatically suspended in seconds

If I open a new window in Chrome, no matter what I am doing in the window it is suspended within a few seconds. If reactivated then it conforms to normal behaviour and doesn't suspend again for the set time. I can't find any setting associated with this.
It's annoying enough that I am considering uninstalling but I really need a tab suspender and besides this issue yours is the best.
Thanks!

The "Suspend or Unsuspend Current Tab (in one HotKey)" keyboard shortcut doesn't work

The subject is fairly self-explanatory. When I set the "Suspend or Unsuspend Current Tab (in one HotKey)" keyboard shortcut to "Alt + S", nothing happens. It won't suspend or un-suspend any tabs. Are you able to fix this?

Tabs won't suspend at all after recent August update

Newly opened tabs won't auto suspend and re-opened previously suspended tabs will not re-suspend anymore. I also can't manually suspend tabs. The button just does NOTHING. Also, in general, my chrome keeps UN-pinning your (and other) extensions as well as changing the pin order of what I already had and RE-pinning extensions that I unpinned every time I restart the program or my PC's power goes out.

I'm SO close to just jumping ship to Firefox. I already have some tabs imported, I just need to double down.

It never worked properly after you fixed it.

Hi there,

I appreciate all of your hard work, & I know that Chrome is a (you can fill in the blank), but the extension isn't working properly.

Once you fixed it for manifest 3,

1. Like others have said, it doesn't suspend based on the time we set. Mine was set the same for years, I never changed it.

2. The page style only shows the blue thingy, not the one I always have it set to which is no style.

3. It's been crashing non stop & I think now it's been affecting my Zoho docs. And yes I have a lot of tabs, windows & profiles.

4. It's now crashing my Supermium browser & all my profiles. sigh

Are you going to be able to fix it?

Also, I just heard of this method of suspending from another extension, can you use this other method?

" discard inactive tabs after a specified amount of time to reduce memory usage and prevent background scripts from consuming computational resources when it is not in use. This extension uses the native method for tab discarding, which means it does not suffer from the same issues as other extensions that use custom methods. When a tab is discarded by the native method, it is completely removed from memory and does not use any resources, but it can be restored to its previous state, including preserving page state such as scroll position. "

Please let us know.

Thanks

Allow MANUAL suspend on whitelisted tabs

It's nice to have a whitelist, but to me its only purpose it to whitelist tabs from being AUTO-suspended! If the whitelist prevents me from MANUALLY closing a tab as well then the whitelist is pointless!

I can see that MAYBE some people would want it that way, but it should not be the default behavior. There should be a toggle in the whitelist settings page to "allow the whitelist to prevent even manual suspend", and that toggle should be off by default.

Also, everything I've said here should also apply for the "ignore audible tabs" and "ignore Pinned tabs" toggles

Suspending tabs after as little as 2 seconds

If I open a tab then click to another and come back, they are often (usually but not always) suspended almost immediately (as little as 2 seconds).
I turned off the auto-adjust feature, and set it to 4 minutes, but it isn't respecting the rules in its settings.
Otherwise been a big fan, thanks!
