Hi, I really liked this extension, but its behaviour has changed over the last couple of days. Previously if I put a colon after a word at the beginning of an event title, it would appear highlighted in the label colour. This was extremely useful for making particular events visible and distinguishable. But now this facility is gone, can we get it back? Win 11 PC Edit: it's back! I hope it stays, the alternative of coloured text with a dot is hopeless.. added another star
That must have been a change in Google Calendar, not the extension. I didn't even know about that method. Google Calendar makes small changes all the time, whereas I haven't updated this extension in several years (it says January 30, 2024 on the Chrome Web Store page, but that's only because I updated the description).

I don't get it. I saw nothing to add custom colors.... and the details literally don't say how to use this. There is NO WHERE to add new or custom colors.
Please see the clarification in the description. GcalColor does not add new colors and does not change how colors are chosen, it just changes the color of the text to match the dot, then removes the dot.

it has changed the name to the color instead of just a colored dot (THANK YOU!) however, I cannot find any additional colors. What am I doing wrong? No + sign or new colors on list thanks!

I've added the extension but when I go into adding an event, I don't see additional colors. I restarted Chrome but that did not help either. How can I add colors?

You Rock Adele Spinasse! And, I thought I was the only one being driven nuts with all the dots. Thank you... Thank you!

Without this, the new Google Calendar was completely unusable. Lifesaver!

You are amazing! My father relied heavily on the color coding for medical appointments and other tasks. Thank you so very much!

Rockstar extension for Google's new calendar insanity and "DOT" obsession. (Google considers "DOTS" helpful and innovative??) Hey Google there is a reason "highlighting markers and colored pens" were invented before you.

Indispensable! Thank-you! It shouldn't have come to this. I gave Google feedback on the issue. Replacing contrasting, coloured text with black was nonsense. Google Calendar's product team seems not to recognise people who keep multiple calendars. A similar problem exists in the mobile product, which does allow for changing the colour of an *event* but not for switching the *calendar* of an event.
