Gmail typing in 'compose' window is far too laggy when extension is installed

I have been using this extension for a while and truly love the point of it. However, it seems to be creating an unacceptable lag time when typing any message or reply in the compose' window of Gmail. This got to be so infuriating, but lo and behold, the lag did not happen if I ran Gmail under Edge (no extension installed). But under Chrome, with the extension installed, it is almost impossible to type the lag is that bad! I deactivated this extension and all was returned to normal responsiveness. Re-activated, and yes, terrible lag is back. I love the time display but if this is the result then it is useless to me :(

Is there any way to fix the lag?

In the last 2 months or so the lag has made this almost unusable. I love the app, it's one of the few I'd pay for actually but something changed.

Creates typing lag in gmail

Love the time displays, but I've discovered it adds a big typing lag when typing into a compose window in gmail. When I disable the extension, the lag goes away. Sometimes I type multiple words and then watch them slowly appear on the screen.

Find another way

Cmon guys, get rid of the smartwebfinders garbage.. look at your reviews bombing. You'll ruin this good product. People are not stupid. Find another way to monetize.
