after reload the lock is gone, not useful
Hi, Matthias. You can right click on the extension icon and then on Options where you'll be able to configure auto-locking for the websites you want.

This extension works exactly as described. A few notes: - As the developer states, you MUST interact with the page after enabling the lock. Scrolling is NOT enough. You must click on something: a link, type in something into a search box (and then erase it if you want), etc. - After installing the plugin, some existing tabs will not lock unless you RELOAD them - this is probably because they keep background websockets open preventing the extension from doing its thing.

It must suck getting reviews from people who give your product exactly 5 seconds to figure out before giving it 1 star, it works exactly as I expected it to. Thanks!

it doesn't lock any tab bro!!!!
Hi, AlyShazli. Could it be that you're closing the tab before interacting with the page? After locking, some interaction with the page is required for it to work. So you need to, for example, click anywhere on the page after locking to actually prevent the tab from being closed. This is how Chromium (Brave) works. Please try this and if it still does not work for you I'd be happy to assist if you file an issue in https://github.com/gabrielmaldi/chrome-lock-tab/issues. Thanks!

I guess I misunderstood the functionality of the add-on. I thought it would prevent the tab from being closed. Unfortunately, I was able to close the locked tab without any problems.

Perfect. Really needed this. Too bad chrome doesn't have this built-in... And with the limitations, this is great for my need. Will save me lots of mistaken tab closes... Thanks Mr. dev, Gabriel Maldi.
Thanks! Glad you find it useful.

Super handy — I recommend it for clumsy folks like me who always hit Command + W by mistake
