In console panel of non-medium sites, the following error occurs: Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

I changed it to to only activate on click, it works somewhat. But, I don't see a reason that this extension needs access to all websites. Hoping there will be an update that removes the unnnessary permissions. Thanks for creating this!
Thanks for the kind words — we really appreciate your support and feedback! 🙏 About the “access to all websites” permission: This is required because many platforms (like Medium) use custom domains, for example: Level Up Coding → https://levelup.gitconnected.com/ JavaScript in Plain English → https://javascript.plainenglish.io/ codeburst → https://codeburst.io/ Even though the content is from Medium, each publication runs on a different domain. Because of this, the extension must request access to all websites to function correctly across these custom domains and similar platforms.
