SearchBar

This is better than just using the address bar to search, but I wish there was an option to not have it auto-populate when I select text. A "light" version of this extension that permanently adds a search box to the address bar without all the extra features would be nice.

This app is super useful, easy to set up, and really efficient. One thing, though - the picture on the main page isn't that attractive. The search bar looks kinda old, so I initially thought the app was outdated haha.

You can add the feature to open searches tabs right after current tab, It would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

The SearchBar ext is the only reason I use Brave instead of Firefox. In late 2023 SearchBar buttons could become unresponsive requiring a page refresh on all Chrome versions. In Sept 2024 the Brave Browser fixed this problem. If you have this problem try Brave.

Works perfect for me. I even donated, I was so impressed.

Hopefully the developer updates this. I haven't seen another search bar like this so I'm open to suggestions.

Very useful and well written extension. Would be possible to add custom field option in "Search suggestions" beneath the google one?

It worked great for months, but now shortcuts stopped working on some websites? Any advice?

Extremely helpful extension that lets me quickly use another search engine if the one I am using is giving me results I don't like and has the added benefit of automatically copying and pasted selected text into its search bar (something many alternatives don't have), but as of this week (or possibly last week), this extension is causing STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors in Microsoft Edge. I hope it gets updated at some point in the future.
