Question about offline conversions

Hi Google Ads Team

We would like to upload offline conversions via the Google Ads API, but the API returned an error message " The conversion action specified in the upload request cannot be found. Make sure it's available in this account". I am writing to enquire if u could help to solve this issue.

Please let me know if u need the complete API logs.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The ' NO_CONVERSION_ACTION_FOUND  ' error while uploading offline click conversions via  Google Ads API  means that the specified conversion action is either not enabled or cannot be found within the uploading of customer_id. But I could see that the conversion action: 7280109839 is enabled and is owned by the customer: 1712034044. What I have found in the past is that even though the uploading account owns the target conversion action, the GCLID may belong to a serving account that doesn't have access to the conversion action. If I could analyze the GCLIDs then I can determine whether that's the problem here.

To investigate further, please provide us with the complete API logs ( request  and  response  with  request-id  and  request header ) generated on your end while uploading the conversions.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides  Java .Net PHP Python Ruby  or  Perl  to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Additionally, checking the UI, I could see that the conversion tracking status is displayed as "Needs attention" for the conversion action: 7280109839. A “Needs attention” conversion action overview status is highlighted in yellow and indicates there are action items to address. I recommend that you kindly refer to this help center article, " Conversion Tracking: Troubleshooting conversion tracking status ," to troubleshoot your conversions based on your conversion tracking status. The  offline_conversion_upload_conversion_action_summary  is available starting in v17, which aggregates upload diagnostics at the conversion action level. So, I would suggest you refer to the  Monitor offline data diagnostics , as it helps to find the overall health of the conversion upload processes. I have executed the conversion action level diagnostics for this conversion action and I could see that the imported data quality is 'NEEDS_ATTENTION' with few upload errors. I recommend you refer to this guide  for more information about these errors and how to avoid them.
