Google Classroom: Non-breaking error code change for Invited Users

Hi Classroom developers,

On June 26th , we expect to start rolling out a non-breaking change on the following endpoints over the course of a week:

• courses.courseWork.create

• courses.courseWork.delete

• courses.courseWork.get

• courses.courseWork.patch

• courses.courseWorkMaterials.create

• courses.courseWorkMaterials.delete

• courses.courseWorkMaterials.get

• courses.courseWorkMaterials.patch

• courses.announcements.create

• courses.announcements.delete

• courses.announcements.get

• courses.announcements.patch

This change affects Invited Users, which are teachers or students that have been invited to a course but have not yet accepted.

Current behavior: These endpoints currently return a 403 error for requests from an Invited User.

New behavior: These endpoints will now return a 404 error for requests from an Invited User.

The following related endpoints are unaffected :

• courses.courseWork.list

• courses.courseWork.modifyAssignees

• courses.courseWorkMaterials.list

• courses.announcements.list

• courses.announcements.modifyAssignees
