I have installed Google_Data_API_Setup_2.2.0.0.msi. This installed some
sample executables C:\Program Files\Google\Google Data API SDK\Samples.
However it has not provided the sample source code. Should it have
installed the source code? Where can I get the sample source code from?

I have it in my documents.Check your documents directory. A folder named
Google Data API SDK is found there also. Then you will find the sample
source code.
