Flagging hover menus

I've long observed that Hover menus are difficult to use on Desktop where precise mouse usage is needed.

I was hoping Page speed insights / Lighthouse would flag examples like this, e.g. https://marsknitwear.com/ but they don't.

Is there some UI best practice tool I am missing?
