Product Studio API Additional Terms of Service

Effective August 12, 2025

To use Product Studio API and the other Google developer services that reference these terms (collectively, the "Services"), you must accept (1) the Google APIs Terms of Service (the " API Terms "), and (2) these Product Studio API Additional Terms of Service (the " Additional Terms "). Terms that are not defined in these Additional Terms have the meanings given in the API Terms. To the extent these Additional Terms conflict with the API Terms, these Additional Terms will govern.

Age Requirements.You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Services. You will not use the Services as part of a website, application, or other service that is directed towards or is likely to be accessed by individuals under the age of 18.
Use and Use Restrictions.
You will use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent and terminate any unauthorized use of, or access to, the Services.
You may:
use API Clients for production use but Google may enforce rate limits; and
only access the Services (or make API Clients available to users) within the regions identified by Google to you.
You may not use:
any Services identified as "Preview" for production use;
the Services to power another application programming interface;
the Services to develop models that compete with the Services (e.g., Product Studio API). You also may not attempt to extract or replicate the underlying models (e.g., parameter weights); or
the Services in clinical practice, to provide medical advice, or in any manner that is overseen by or requires clearance or approval from a medical device regulatory agency.
In addition to the " API Prohibitions " section in the API Terms, you must comply with our Prohibited Use Policy , which provides additional details about appropriate conduct when using the Services.
The Services include safety features to block harmful content, such as content that violates our Prohibited Use Policy . You may not attempt to bypass these protective measures or use content that violates the API Terms or these Additional Terms. Applications with less restrictive safety settings may be subject to Google's review and approval.
Use of Generated Content.Some of our Services allow you to generate original content. Google will not claim ownership over that content. You acknowledge that Google may generate the same or similar content for others and that we reserve all rights to do so. As required by the API Terms, you'll comply with applicable law in using generated content. Use discretion before relying on generated content, including code. You're responsible for your use of generated content, and for the use of that content by anyone you share it with.
Payment Terms.
Usage Measurement and Billing Options. Google will use its measurement tools to determine your usage of the Services. You may elect one of the billing options below (Prepay or Invoicing) or another option offered by Google from time to time.
Prepay. Fees are due immediately upon usage and your Service Amount balance will be drawn down based on your Service usage. Any remaining balance will be automatically applied to Fees incurred by your subsequent use of the Service. Service Amounts can be purchased using the payment method you set up in your account. You can select the minimum Service Amount balance at which you want to automatically purchase additional Service Amounts. When your balance reaches this minimum amount, your method of payment will be charged to add additional Service Amounts to your balance.
Invoicing.
Generally. If you choose monthly invoicing then Google will issue an electronic bill or invoice for all Fees, monthly in arrears or another period or billing frequency specified by Google. If Google reasonably determines based on evidence available to Google that you are at risk of non-payment or that your Account is potentially fraudulent, then Google may invoice you more frequently. You will pay all Fees in the currency and by the due date stated in the applicable bill or invoice. Unless required by law, your obligation to pay all Fees is non-cancellable. Google has no obligation to provide multiple bills. Payments made via wire transfer must include the bank information provided by Google.
Payment Disputes for Monthly Invoicing. If you are billed using monthly invoicing, any payment disputes must be submitted in good faith before the payment due date. If Google, having reviewed the dispute in good faith, determines that certain billing inaccuracies are attributable to Google, Google will not issue a corrected invoice, but will instead issue a credit memo specifying the incorrect amount in the affected invoice. If a disputed invoice has not yet been paid, Google will apply the credit memo amount to the disputed invoice and you will be responsible for paying the resulting net balance due on that invoice. Nothing in this Agreement obligates Google to extend credit to any party.
No Refunds. Fees incurred are non-refundable, except as outlined in the "Payment Disputes for Monthly Invoicing" section or otherwise as required by applicable law.
Billing Changes. Google may change its offering of billing options (including by limiting or ceasing to offer any billing option) upon 30 days’ notice to you and any such change will take effect at the beginning of the next billing cycle. Billing options may not be available to all customers.
Taxes. Taxes are not included in the Fees and will be separately itemized on Google’s invoices if applicable. You will pay correctly-invoiced Taxes unless you provide a valid tax exemption certificate. You will pay all Fees without reduction for Taxes. Google will timely provide customary tax documentation reasonably requested by you. You will provide Google with any applicable tax identification information that Google may require under applicable law to ensure its compliance with applicable tax regulations and authorities in applicable jurisdictions. You will be liable to pay (or reimburse Google for) any taxes, interest, penalties, or fines arising out of any mis-declaration by you.
Service Amounts. You can use Service Amounts to enable and process your requests within designated Service features. Service Amounts are only redeemable for features that are made available by Google through the Services. Service Amounts expire 36 months after you acquire them. If You breach the API Terms or these Additional Terms then Google may suspend or terminate your ability to use the remaining balance of your Service Amounts. You have no right or title in Service Amounts except as expressly stated in these Terms. You may not sell or transfer Service Amounts to another user or account, or attempt to sell or transfer Service Amounts. Service Amounts are not a digital currency, security, commodity, or any other kind of financial instrument and are not redeemable for any cash value. Any unused Services Amounts will be forfeited upon termination or cancellation of your account.
Data Use.The license you grant to Google under the " Submission of Content " section in the API Terms also extends, to the extent required under applicable law for our use, to any content (e.g., prompts, including associated files such as images, videos, or documents) you submit to the Services and to any generated responses. Google uses this data, consistent with our Privacy Policy , to provide, improve, and develop Google products and services and machine learning technologies, including Google’s enterprise features, products, and services. To help with quality and improve our products, human reviewers may read, annotate, and process your API input and output. Google takes steps to protect your privacy as part of this process. This includes disconnecting this data from your Google Account, API key, and Cloud project before reviewers see or annotate it. Do not submit sensitive, confidential, or personal information to the Services.
Disclaimers. The Services use experimental technology and may sometimes provide inaccurate or offensive content that doesn't represent Google's views. Use discretion before relying on, publishing, or otherwise using content provided by the Services. Don't rely on the Services for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
