Turn Google Developers on or off for users

As an administrator, you can control who uses Google Developers services with their account. Just turn the service on or off for those users in your Admin console. Users who have it on can use their account to access private documentation (for example, pages restricted to members of an Early Access Program) on sites like developers.google.com or www.tensorflow.org and may see content recommendations based on pages they visit on Google's developer sites. If the Google Developers service is on, users can also create a Google Developer profile . Users whose service is off can still visit public pages on Google's developer sites, though without being able to access private documentation and without using or saving information with their account, similar to the experience for a user who is signed out.

Control who uses Google Developers in your organization

Before you begin: To turn a service on or off for certain users, put their accounts in an organizational unit (to control access by department) or add them to an access group (to allow access for users across or within departments).

1. In the Google Admin console, go to Menu Apps Additional Google services.

   Go to Additional Google services

   Requires having the Service Settings administrator privilege .

2. Click Google Developers.

   Tip: Scroll to see all services. Or at the left, choose a Filterto narrow the list, for example, based on status or popularity.

3. Click Service status .

4. To turn a service on or off for everyone in your organization, click  On for everyoneor  Off for everyone, and then click  Save.

5. (Optional) To turn a service on or off for an organizational unit:
   1. At the left, select the organizational unit.
   2. To change the Service status, select Onor Off.
   3. Choose one:
      • If the Service status is set to Inheritedand you want to keep the updated setting, even if the parent setting changes, click Override.
      • If the Service status is set to Overridden, either click Inheritto revert to the same setting as its parent, or click Saveto keep the new setting, even if the parent setting changes.

6. (Optional) To turn on a service for a set of users across or within organizational units, select an access group. For details, go to  Customize service access using access groups .
