What subscription do I need to use Gemini in AppSheet?
Gemini in AppSheet is being rolled out gradually and is currently available to Google Workspace customers with AppSheet Enterprise Plus, and individual accounts with AppSheet Publisher Pro, AppSheet Starter, AppSheet Core, and AppSheet Enterprise Plus. Alternatively, if you are a Google Workspace customer without AppSheet Enterprise Plus, you can request access to the Gemini in AppSheet Chat app by contacting your AppSheet Sales representative.
What subscription do I need to share apps with anyone (public access)?
If you want to share publicly accessible apps with users without requiring them to sign-in and you do not have an Enterprise Plus subscription, you need to purchase the AppSheet Publisher Prosubscription .
The Publisher Pro subscription is appropriate for apps used at a public event, a public survey, a city guide, or a restaurant menu. The goal is usually for the apps to be used by as many people as possible without restricting access to any specific subset of users.
Choose the public Publisher Pro subscription if allof the following are true:
- You do not need to restrict app access to particular people
- Your app uses no confidential data
- You do not need to customize the behavior of the app based on the specific user
- If you have an Enterprise Plus subscription, you can build public apps; you don't need to purchase the Publisher Pro subscription.
- If you have a Starteror Coresubscription, you need to purchase the Publisher Pro subscription using a separate AppSheet account. See Can I purchase multiple subscriptions using the same AppSheet account?
How many licenses do I need to purchase for my subscription?
After you choose your subscription , you need to determine the number of licenses to purchase.
Starter, Core, and Enterprise Plus subscriptions (per user)
For AppSheet Starter, Core, and Enterprise Plus subscriptions, determine the number of licenses required by counting the total number of unique app users across all of your deployed apps. Each licensed user can use multiple apps.
For example, if you are deploying an app to 10 employees and another app to a different set of 5 employees, purchase 15 licenses. On the other hand, if your company has 10 employees, you can purchase 10 licenses and build any number of apps for them.
- The per-user subscriptions involve a variable cost component depending on the number of unique users of the app. AppSheet monitors this usage and you, the app creator, can see approximate historical usage statistics for each of your apps on the Activity tab of your Account page. AppSheet warns you when the user limits are reached, and can block access to the app after several warnings.
- Make certain that you require user authentication for each of your applications. If you fail to do this, AppSheet counts every device that launches the app as a separate guest user.

Public Publisher Pro subscription (per app)
If you chose the public Publisher Pro subscription, purchase one app license for each deployed app. For example, if your account has one deployed app, purchase one app license. If your account has three deployed apps, purchase three app licenses.
Can I purchase multiple subscriptions using the same AppSheet account?
Each AppSheet account has a single subscription. It is not possible to have some apps in an account associated with one subscription and other apps associated with a different subscription. To purchase multiple subscriptions, you can create additional AppSheet accounts—using different user accounts (such as, Google, Microsoft, etc.)—to add apps to a different subscription.
Why is the AppSheet Enterprise Standard subscription going away?
The new pricing allows enterprise customers to enjoy a clearly differentiated experience from AppSheet Core at a more competitive price. For more information, see the Community announcement .
