Manage your Google Flow projects
Create a project
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click + New project.
Rename a project
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Under the project you want to rename, click Edit project

- Rename the project.
- Click Check

Delete a project
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Under the project you want to delete, click Delete project
.
Find your project assets
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click the project you want to manage.
- On the left, select the media type you want to find.
- All media
- Images
- Videos
- Characters
- Scenes
- Uploads
Search & filter for your assets
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click the project you want to manage.
- At the top, in the search bar, enter your search term.
- To filter your results, click Filters

Create & manage characters in Google Flow
You can bundle specific visual and audio references into a single, reusable character. Your character’s face, clothing, and voice remain strictly consistent across multiple generations without needing to upload the same images every time.
Create a character in Google Flow
Step 1: Generate your character
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click an existing project or start a new one.
- On the left, click Characters.
- If you have another character already, click New Character.
- In the prompt box, describe your character in detail.
- To use a sample prompt, select a pregenerated character.
- Upload or generate 1 or 2 images that show the visual appearance of your character.
- A character must contain at least one image to be used.
- Click Generate

Step 2: Give your character a name and voice
- Add your character’s name.
- Select a voice for your character.
- Click Select a voice.
- Select a voice or create a custom voice.
- Click Add to Character.
- Optional: Enter your character info.
- At the top right, click Done.

Edit a character in Google Flow
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Open the project that you created your character in.
- On the left, click Characters.
- Select a character.
- Edit your character’s details.
- At the top right, click Done.
Delete a character in Google Flow
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Open the project that you created your character in.
- On the left, click Characters.
- Select a character.
- At the top, click Delete

Organize your project assets with collections
To organize your assets, sort them into collections. Like folders, you can also create collections within collections.
Organize your assets with Google Flow Agent
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click the project you want to organize.
- In the prompt box, turn on Agent.
- Ask the Agent to rename specific files, group selected media into a new collection, or archive unused assets.
- Click Generate

Create a collection
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Click the project you want to organize.
- At the top right, click Add
Create Collection.
- To create a collection, you can also drag one asset tile on top of another.
- To add your assets to a collection, drag them into it.
Remove assets from a collection
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- In the project you want to organize, click the collection you want to remove assets from.
- Drag the asset you want to remove to “Move out of collection.”
Download your videos from Google Flow
You can easily share your creations when you download them as GIFs or video files.
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- Open an existing project or start a new one.
- Hover over the asset you want to download.
- Click More
Download.
- Select the file type you want to download.
- To download a GIF, click 270p.
Share images & videos from Google Flow
When you share an image or video, anyone with the link can find and use your creation.
- On your device, go to Google Flow .
- In an existing project, hover over the image or video you want to share.
- Click More
Share.
- Optional: To share the ingredients used to generate your creation, turn on Include inputs.
- Click Copy link.
Upload your videos to YouTube from Google Flow
Step 1: Meet the upload requirements
To upload videos to YouTube from Google Flow, you must meet all of these requirements:
- You have a YouTube channel associated with your Google Account.
- Your account has the necessary permissions to upload content to that channel.
- Your video must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines .
Step 2: Select your YouTube channel
- On your device, log in to Google Flow .
- In an existing project, hover over the video you want to upload.
- Select More
Publish to YouTube.
- If you have not connected your YouTube account yet, select Connect YouTube.
- Select a YouTube channel.
- If you have not created a YouTube channel yet, select Create a channel.

Step 3: Upload your video
- Enter your video details.
- Title:Give your video a clear name.
- Description:Add details or links for your viewers.
- Visibility:Select Public, Unlisted, or Private.
- Tags:Add tags related to your video.
- Category:Select the type of video you’ve made.
- Select Upload to YouTube.
- Your video may take a few minutes to process on YouTube.
Tip:Videos generated in Google Flow include an invisible SynthID watermark. This watermark identifies the content as AI-generated and should not be tampered with or removed. Learn how to manage your data in Google Flow .
Supported video formats & limitations
- Video formats:Google Flow automatically prepares your generated clips in compatible formats for YouTube.
- Resolution:Google Flow uploads videos at the highest generated resolution available for your selected model.
- Duration:You can upload any Google Flow-generated clip, which includes 4s, 6s, 8s, and 10s Gemini Omni Flash generations.
- Scenebuilder:Currently, direct YouTube upload is only supported for individual video clips. To upload a full sequence from Scenebuilder, you must download the sequence as a single file, and then upload it via YouTube Studio.
