Share your AI credits with your family group

Important:Sharing AI usage with your family group varies by product.

When a plan manager purchases a Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra membership and turns on family sharing, the family group can also access some benefits. This includes storage space and AI credits for eligible features, which are pooled and shared. Learn more about family sharing with Google One .

However, the option to purchase additional AI credits, downgrade, or upgrade membership is only available to plan managers.

When you share your AI credits with your family:

  • AI credit activity shows each family member’s total credit usage.
  • Members are sorted by most to least usage.
  • Past members are combined in one entry.

When you have both individual and family membership:

  • AI credits combine your individual and family allocations.
  • Individual usage isn’t shared with the family group.
  • Dual memberships have 2 refresh dates, individual and family.
