Set, cancel, or snooze alarms on your Android device

You can make and change alarms in the Clock app on your Android device, Pixel phone, or Pixel Tablet.

Set an alarm

Set alarm time

Open your device's Clock app .
Tap Alarm.
Pick an alarm.
- To add an alarm, tap Add.
- To edit an existing alarm time, tap on its current time.
Set the alarm time.
1. On the analog clock: Slide the hand to the hour you want. Then slide the hand to the minutes you want.
2. On the digital clock:Enter the hour and minutes you want.
3. With the 12-hour format:Tap AMor PM.
Tap OK.

Turn alarm on or off

Open your device's Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
On the alarm you want, tap the On/Off switch.

Tip:If the alarm is set to repeat, this turns all repeats on or off.

Change an alarm

Cancel or delete alarm

Open your device's Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
To permanently delete the alarm, tap Delete.

Change alarm sound or song

Use a sound

Open your device's Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
Tap on the alarm sound.
Select a sound:
- Pick a sound from the list of Device Sounds:Tap it.
- On Pixel phones, record a new sound:To open the Recorder app, tap Record new. You can record, tap stop to save, and use the recorded audio.
- Use your own sound file:If you've downloaded a sound file to your device, tap Add newYour sound file. Learn where to find your files .

Use a song from YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm

If you haven't yet, download the YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm app. Learn how to download apps .
Open the app and sign in to your account. Learn how to open apps .
Open your device's Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
Tap on the alarm sound.
Next to “Sounds,” tap YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm.
- If these options aren’t available:
  1. Tap More.
  2. Install one of these supported apps.
Find a song you want to use, then tap it.
- YouTube:To choose a song or album, use a premium account. No-charge accounts don't work with Clock.
- Pandora (US only):To choose a song, use a premium account. Plus and no-charge accounts can choose stations. No-charge accounts might play ads.
- Spotify:To choose a song, use a premium account. No-charge accounts can choose playlists and might play ads.
- Calm:To choose a sound, use a signed in account.

Change alarm name, repetition, or vibration

Open your device's Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- Name:To name the alarm, tap Alarm name.
- Repetition:To make the alarm repeat, tap the days of the week.
- Pause alarm:To pause a scheduled alarm for a scheduled period of days, recurring, and enabled alarm, tap and select the dates on the calendar.
- Vibration: To turn alarm vibrations off or on, tap Vibrate.

Add a Google Assistant Routine to an alarm

Make sure you have:

Open your device’s Clock app.
Tap Alarm.
To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
Next to “Google Assistant Routine,” tap Add.
Choose the actions you want the Assistant to do. Learn more about Google Assistant Routines .
Tap Save.

To change or turn off a Google Assistant Routine:

Change a routine:Tap Google Assistant Routine.
Turn off a routine:Next to "Google Assistant Routine," tap Remove.

Tip:If Gemini is your device's default assist app, some Google Assistant features and services won’t work. Learn what you can do with your Gemini mobile app .

Snooze or stop an alarm

Snooze: To delay an alarm for 10 minutes, tap Snooze.
Stop: To stop an alarm, tap Stop.

Sync an alarm between your Pixel phone & Pixel Watch

You can set your alarm to ring on your Pixel phone and watch at the same time.

Sync during setup

Set up your watch. Learn more about how to set up Google Pixel watch .
When setup is complete, the message “Sync phone and watch alarms” displays.
At bottom right, tap Sync Alarms.

Sync in Settings

Open your device’s Clock app.
Tap Settings Alarms.
Turn on Alarm sync.
- The prompt “Sync alarms?” displays with the name of available watches below.
Tap the watch you want to pair with your device.

Set ring options

You can set your alarms in 2 ways. They can ring on both your phone and your watch, or you can choose Adaptive Ringing. With Adaptive Ringing, your alarms ring first on the device you’re actively using. For example:

When you’re wearing your watch and you’re actively using your phone, your alarm rings on your phone. Both devices give you the option to dismiss or snooze the alarm.
When you’re wearing your watch but you’re not actively using your phone, your alarm starts to ring on your watch. If your alarm isn't turned off, your alarm rings on both your phone and your watch.
When you’re not wearing your watch, your alarm rings on your phone.
If the devices aren't connected, your alarm rings on both your phone and your watch.

Open your phone's Clock app.
Tap Settings Alarm rings on Adaptive Ringingor Watch and phone.

Display weather updates in the Clock app

Provide location permissions

To show weather conditions in your city, your device needs access to your location. You can provide location permissions in Pixel Weather.

Add your local weather forecast to an alarm

You can see weather info when your alarm goes off.

Open your device's Clock app.
To add an alarm, at the bottom, tap Add.
Select Weather forecast.
- When you stop your alarm, the forecast will display.

Tip:Be sure your Clock app has access to your location.
