COMPLIANCE MONITORING AND PRODUCT SURVEILLANCE
To ensure your product continues to be a market leader in sustainability, our certification staff conducts ongoing product monitoring. This includes annual activities and product surveillance every three years.
The annual monitoring includes:
- Reviewing any planned changes in formula, labeling, or other product attributes
- Conducing an annual survey to ensure ongoing compliance
- Conducting periodic internal checks of your formula against newly prohibited or restricted chemicals
You must notify us of any changes to your products as they occur, including everything from label and logo changes, to changes in manufacturing, to formula and literature updates. We recommend you keep all information you submitted for certification in one, accessible location.
Green Seal conducts surveillance of our clients’ products every three years. When it is time for your company’s product surveillance review, we will contact you a few weeks prior to prepare materials and schedule an audit, if needed.
What We Will Need From You
During product surveillance, we will request batch tickets and labels for a sampling of your certified products. We
review the submitted information to confirm continued compliance with Green Seal’s standards.
All materials for product surveillance must be submitted within 60 days of Green Seal initiating the review process.
Alerting us to any proposed changes and keeping track of certification information will help ensure there is no lapse in
certification.
Surveillance reviews may require service location or manufacturing facility site visits, which will need to be scheduled
