FOOD FOR FRAUGHT
By:

If you can’t distract ’em with sex, fool ’em with food. And Edison’s plan to cut tonight’s game of…of…well, we’re still working on a copyright free name for this RPG. Right now I’m trying to decide which of the amazing suggestions you’ve made to choose from.

Maybe we all should start voting? What do you think?

Coming up next time-Edison’s plan reaches fruition!
Get it? Fruit-ition? Because she’s using food, and fruits are-
I’ll see myself out.

Oh, next week’s strip may be a bit late. I’ve moved, and I don’t have a computer, so it’s gonna be difficult to scan the strip, clean it up, letter it, and get it ready. If it’s any help, I’ve drawn four more strips, so that’s not a problem. I’ll let you know.

JUST SO YOU KNOW: If you ordered any of my comics through Amazon, you won’t get them. Amazon has made it impossible for me to log in to my account. Or, I’m just not smart enough to figure out their puzzle. Either way, I can’t do anything through Amazon. If you want a copy of Blue Moon or Utopia, Unlimited (I still have a few), just send me an e-mail. Thanks.

UPDATE: As you can see, there’s no new comic yet. I’m still working on getting to a computer that can edit graphics. I’ll update when I can.

In the meantime, I’ll post some previews soon.

Thank you for your patience.
Did I mention that Groovy, Kinda has the best readers? ’cause we do.

Yeah, I took it down a while back. I might bring it back someday. I wasn’t really doing much with it beyond just posting the new strips.

Oh Tru, sometimes I wish it was my life too. I don’t know how I would handle drawing 8+ hours a day, but I’d love to give it a try.
You say you miss the whole gang? So do I.
But, I haven’t been sleeping on the job while I’ve been down here. I have-wait for it-a 15 strip buffer! Do you know how many years it’s been since I had a buffer? About 5, actually. Anyway, Once I get back and get some cleaned up and lettered, I plan to:
1) Publish two strips a week for a month, so we can all get caught up (and there’s big doin’s ahead!), and:
2) Start publishing Monday!
Yay!
Thank you all for your patience. With this buffer in hand, I probably (famous last words) won’t run out of strips for some time.
So, stay tuned! We have to finish off this game of…game of…
What are we calling it again?

UPDATE: I just started a Miffy strip. He he hee

Ah Pops, you may need to make a new account.
See, Groovy,Kind got attacked by a lot of anonymous computer thingies (technical term) and John, the awesome guy who runs Ethical Hosting my awesome webhosting service (they really are great, and they-trust me-suffer fools gladly), fixed it. Well, you know how computers are. So your account may have been lost in the process. Sorry about that.
But cheer up! Read my reply to Tru!

A comic artist’s life is a … complicated one, I bet. Yes, I know that’s not your “job” but I really sometimes wish it was (Scott Adams said he used affirmations to make his strip so popular. Not sure I actually believe that.)

I miss my friends, Edison and Larry and Stephanie and Reade and Nelson and Toivo and Miffy and … no, wait. I don’t actually miss Miffy. She acts too much like a cat. Surprise…

Charlie, this is Pops. I was going to say something semi-clever about what we were talking about, but WordPress seems to have forgotten my existence and won’t let me log in. Or maybe I’ve forgotten me and am entering email and password of someone I’m not. *sigh* Is it any wonder I prefer carbonblack in an oil-based vehicle on dead tree fiber?

Aw Pops, thank you for those kind words.
Papuasblya, you remembered correctly. I did “quit” Groovy, Kinda (a couple of times), and, rumor has it, even posted an epilogue. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced said epilogue, so, really, you could start anywhere.
Oh, and since said epilogue has been misplaced (if it ever existed. I’m old and have a questionable memory at best), the future of everyone is, at the present time, up for grabs.
Will Eleanor become a vampire? Will Jacob & Esther go into space? Will Robie ever wield a feather duster?
What were we talking about again?

Oh, go ahead and start back at No. 1. It’ll take a couple hours to catch up, but it’s worth it. Charlie’s plotting is at least as convoluted as Eleanor’s, full of fore-shading if not fore-shadowing, and he’s a master of the cryptic hint, so I’ve gone back to the beginning a couple times to get some of the character relationships squared away.

Hooray! (I think.) Sorry the new situation didn’t work out, glad you’ll be settling back in where you seem to be most at home. And really especially glad we’ll be able to catch up with all our favorite greaseweasels….
