GREY MATTER OF FACT
By:

Glorioski indeed. Well, I for one never doubted her for a minute. And I know you didn’t either.

Will Eleanor get a…gasp… conscience ? Is such a thing possible? What would she be like? How would she deal with one?
Wouldn’t that make a great idea for a comic? Someone who never had a conscience suddenly gets one and…
Anyway, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. They might give up. There are some things beyond the reach of mortal technology.

Coming up, it’s back to Earth time! And Stephanie reveals a little bit about the changes she may-or may not-have gone through!

Haha, I haven’t seen or heard anyone say “Glorioski” since West Side Story … talk about a blast from the past!

Ah, I can neither confirm nor deny… there’s still the little matter of Eleanor’s real sister Victoria to be settled at some point.

And hi!

I am guessing that the future you gave her when you were going to stop doing the strip will not happen?

The original intent-at least on Captain Eleanor’s part-wasn’t to fix Eleanor’s brain. It was to fool around with her doppelganger. However, in the course of her stay, her condition became apparent.
Thanks for the Lois McMaster Bujold suggestion! I haven’t read any LMJ books, but she comes highly recommended. In fact, I believe I have some in my store. I’ll check today…

In reply to Hipopotamo .

That’s our Eleanor all right. But she’ll be okay. She always comes out on top. It’s all the people beneath her who we have to worry about.
Unless they’re her friends. They at least have a better chance of getting out alive.

So much like Eleanor in that her own brain tries to defend from getting a conscience. What do you know?
Still, somehow I guess she is going to be OK. Suffer the little souls.

It’s taken me this long to realize that they are here to fix Eleanor’s medical problem. Age is slowing my brain – I’d be happy to take whatever is left over after they’re done with Eleanor. Well….. on second thought….

Also, oddly, the idea of a conscienceless being acquiring one is a kind of background history in Lois McMaster Bujold’s 5-Gods series. A demon posesses a man who voluntarily gives the demon half his soul. And lo, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Also, cries of “It hurts! Take it BACK!” (I love her books – everything she’s written)
