Oh brother. Well Reade, you should’ve expected something unexpected from Anya. Oh well, they’ll work it out eventually. Maybe.
And it looks like this Crazy Hjels person is branching out into restauranteering.
Meanwhile, who is that guy? Some traveling salesman who likes to eavesdrop?  Maybe…
Maybe he’s a hit man? With the government? Which government? Questions questions questions!
None of which will be answered next time. Next time we’re going to indulge in a little speculation regarding Miss Edison and how she’s spending her time aboard HMS Iolanthe. And a suggestion is offered.

And a great big Groovy, Kinda thank you to melaredblu, creator of Princess Chroma , and Betty, artist on M9 Girls , for lending me some of their fabulous art for the pictures!

Oh, hey, good resource! Thanks for that, Ted, and welcome to the family!
I checked it out, and it looks like it’s the xxXenophile Collections, which is all of Phil’s (amazing, funny, and smokin’ hot) work.
Someday I’ll get moving on uploading the Utopias, I promise.

You might look into DriveThru Comics, insofar as a re-release. The XXXenophile collections are available there as downloadable PDFs (for which I was and am most thankful.)

Ruggedly handsome, without a doubt. A veritable Paris of Innesmount.
As Rosanne Cash once sang in “Seven Year Ache:”
“Boys say when is he gonna give us some room,
Girls say ‘god I hope he comes back soon.'”
If the prices were too high, Reade and Anya wouldn’t eat there. They’re both frugal in that regard (unless it’s the weekly Chuckleslovakian Fish Boil, of course).
And Reade is holding a skewer. Possibly Takoyaki, or something similar. Maybe just Swedish meatballs.

Someday, Pops, someday. If I could figure out how to put an “Adults Only” section up top there, I could scan and post all three issues.
If not revive, and least mimic some of the situations.

Funny thing is, mj, that I was originally gonna have the Assassins in that panel. Viola di Langolinio and Fife would’ve been listening while Xy blissfully ate his food.
But then I realized that this guy worked better, and a whole storyline was born. Such are the vagaries of storytelling.
And thanks again M9 Bullpen, for letting me show off your fabulous work!

In reply to Hjels .

Excessively high prices are a mark of a trendy establishment. Everyone who is anyone simply MUST eat there. 🙂

Strangely enough I’ve heard the same thing about the proprietor–a regular Norse Adonis, he is. ^^

No, I’m pretty sure Reade’s got it right…

Don’t know who the eavesdropping feller is, but I hear the proprietor of the noodle shop is a real shifty character, whose prices would have to come considerably down to be outrageous.

I also hear he’s a ruggedly handsome fellow.

So Crazy Hjels is branching out into noodles? This forcibly reminds me of an often referenced occurrence in a certain comic about a boy and his pet stuffed toy…..

Whoever the mystery man is, he’s using his chopsticks properly, as opposed to Reade, who is using hers as a skewer. ^^

Let’s play ‘Complete That Sentence!’
“But if she likes, the three of us could…”
My entry? “…the three of us could revive the Xxxenophile franchise!”
