Exactly. Either or both are more than a small army could handle (and Victoria could take a small army). Make them mad, and pay the consequences. Threaten Captain Eleanor, and you’ll wind up a grease spot on the carpet.

Yep. First Officer Geoffrey Thorne, I mean, Thorpe. I should’ve explained that in the comment section. Sorry about that.
First Officer Thorpe is the thorn in Eleanor’s side. He’s always getting into trouble, and, unlike Eleanor, he has a very high opinion of himself. He’s also madly in lust with Victoria, but, since this all takes place before the events chronicled in Utopia, Unlimited I & II (and the unpublished III), he’s doomed to disappointment. And traction, until Eleanor and Victoria say otherwise.
