SWITCH & BAIT

Told you somebody wouldn’t like the plan. Ah well, this isn’t over yet. Lyssa is still captain, after all.

It looks like, whatever their plan is, it plays to Reade’s strengths .

And I’m not gonna tell you who that studly Norwegian guy is, but I did put a clue in the page. Just my way of thanking him for making such a great comic, filled with really handsome people with familiar names .

Coming up-Lyssa has her say. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I didn’t quite catch the Spitting Scorpions (too many possibilities), but I did see the partially patched hole in the Jumping Tarantula cage. 🙂

I’m learning to read your backgrounds holistically. ^^

If you’re going for a trophy, serve the lutefisk with snoose. ^^

Snoose is good, but if you want the really high-quality Norwegians, only the finest lutefisk will do.
I think you may be one of the few who got the sign joke.
You can’t see it because of the word balloon, but that handsome godlike figure behind the counter also sells “spitting scorpions.”

What? This paragon of manly beauty would never deny the rich, creamy goodness that is lutefisk to the general public. Why, he’s not just another pretty face-he has a generous heart as big as the wild outdoors when it comes to making life better for his fellow human.
That’s why he carries the big, economy sized, 10 pound buckets of lutefisk!
Mmmm…lutefisk…
It’s fun to put Lyssa and Reade together. They get along much better than, say, Reade and Edison. Or, god forbid, Eleanor.

Why, thank you! Though he can’t hold a candle to a certain Mexican author I know.
Well, okay, you’re both Adonises.

He-hee! I like both of your references.
And Reade is going to show another one of her strengths in this storyline. You may very well have previewed it…

Well, Reade didn’t know what they were doing when she rounded the corner. And, she’s been in The Boy Scouts, so she’s, ah, used to that sort of thing.
It’s about time we added that Adonis, that Cadillac of Men to the canon. After all, Cat, Rai, Baltimore, Shields, and Ansgar have all been featured.
I’m glad you like that first panel. That took a while. It was a good learning experience. And fun.
Sorry about your brain reboot. I rarely use mine, but I can imagine that it might be uncomfortable.

It’s amazing how difficult it is to type when one is doubled over with laughter. Your signage is killing me, and apparently Reade has forgotten the simple joy of ending a long, uninterrupted trip at a remote location.

Also, I’m wondering what lutefisk is doing in a bait shop, since nothing eats it except Norwegians, and if you want to catch one of them a can of snoose does a better job, and costs less……

Who is that brave Adonis? That Cadillac of men? (Yes, I stole that one) Love it, Charlie. I assume he’s keeping the lutefisk on the top shelf to keep it away from people? What a guy.

Holy shoe, that first panel is magnificent. And I really like Reade and Lyssa getting some interaction. Whatever’s coming next, it’s gonna be good.

A demented plan! And Reade might have cut short the guys’… ehm… inspiration there!
Norwegian book authors look very nice in GK style, I might say…
