It would seem that a single Fashion Week can’t go by without at least one collection referencing the seminal 1982 sci-fi film Blade Runner. Alexander Wang and Altuzarra are but two recent examples. And it doesn’t look like the inspiration is going to dry up any time soon, especially with today’s news that a reboot of the cult classic is in the works.

Ridley Scott, mastermind of the original, has signed on to direct and produce a new installment of his sleeper hit, though it’s unclear whether it will be a prequel, sequel, or other re-imagining. Fans will have to wait a while though, as the project has yet to be written. In the meantime, you can whet your appetite by poring over these recently discovered Blade Runner polaroids of the original gang palling around on set.
