Peter Copping’s spring 2012 collection for Nina Ricci was all about pretty florals, virginal white lace, and little bra tops, but that’s not exactly what Inez & Vinoodh saw in the collection. The legendary duo dug up more sinister undertones for their ad campaign, which features a ghostly Raquel Zimmermann racing through a shadowy mansion, a lilac silk gown flowing behind her.

Now comes the video version of the campaign, also shot by Inez & Vinoodh. With a bit of technical wizardry, the two-minute spot features Zimmermann jerking and stumbling around in some of the collection’s greatest hits. As music pulses and Zimmermann writhes in a trance-like state, that flowing lilac silk gown and darling little dresses that otherwise felt a little bit old Hollywood transform into something more like Valley of the Dolls.

The video is currently playing at all Nina Ricci stores, and will be presented to the press at the fall collection on March 1.
