You can bet when the outspoken Chinese artist and dissident Ai Weiwei makes a parody, it’s going to be thinly veiled criticism of the government. Sure enough, this DIY video of Ai horsing around, Gangnam Style—for which PSY reportedly visited his Beijing studio (we’re pretty sure Ai is still under house arrest; he’s definitely not allowed to leave the country) to teach him the dance moves—was banned in China. And promptly so, like within hours. It is, after all, pretty obvious what his statement is—note the handcuffs. At least it looks like he’s having a blast, even while being targeted, condemned and harassed by the Communist party…
