Marc Jacobs Is a “Porn Baron”
Marc Jacobs, following an appearance as Muscle Man Marc on South Park last year (well, a cartoon doll in his likeness, not him ), seems to have caught the acting bug. He plays a “porn baron” in the smut thriller Disconnect (opening April 12), trafficking in underage suburban kids who apparently have father issues. But to hear him tell it, he isn’t the villain, since he also protects those he makes his living from—sort of like a madam, we guess.
He spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the experience, possibly longer than the experience itself. We look forward to seeing this on the big screen:
“I had these really tacky suburban disco shirts with crucifixes embroidered on them, and the worst fitting dad jeans—I never wear jeans anyway—but these were just bad and acid-washed with flannel zip jackets sewn to the side. And they put big silver rings on my fingers and earrings…Nobody would have recognized me at the Dunkin’ Donuts in Yonkers in my acid-washed jean jacket with a hoodie attached and my dad jeans.”
He looks pretty believably in his two seconds of screen time in this trailer…
We wonder if this means we’ll see disco shirts and acid-washed dad jeans in his next collection.
