Video Fix: Prada Spring ’13

Prada is back with another trippy video. This time the focus is—besides the women’s and men’s spring collections—the artwork of Lok Jansen and Jeroen Koolhaas (son of architect, theorist, and perma-Prada-collaborator Rem Koolhaas). The proportion distortion of their hand-drawn and -painted scenes resemble a mod title sequence, like that of Catch Me If You Can. Or, as the Prada camp describes it: “Simplicity, poetry and sentimentalism, processed through imaginary cinematic scenes; characters yearning in a world of sophisticated feelings, eluding nostalgia to inspect longing and legacy. Restraining versus revealing: conflicting attitudes in a series of intimate and social situations.” Catch that?
