A CBS News/YouGov poll, conducted shortly after the debate on June 28 and 29, surveyed 1,130 registered voters and provided Trump with several favorable insights. It revealed that he beat Biden on four key criteria: presenting ideas, appearing presidential, inspiring confidence, and explaining plans and policies. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 points.
When asked "Who do you think did the better job, or 'won' Thursday's debate?" 56 percent of voters surveyed answered Trump while 16 percent said Biden.
According to the poll, 47 percent of those surveyed said they believe Trump presented his ideas clearly, compared to only 21 percent for Biden. During the debate, Biden gave several stumbling and at times incoherent and hard to hear responses. A Biden aide told Newsweek late Thursday night that the president was battling a cold during the debate.
Meanwhile, 46 percent who were surveyed believe Trump "appeared presidential" during the debate, with only 28 percent attributing that quality to the incumbent. In the debate follow-up recap, John King, CNN's chief national correspondent, said Biden's performance sparked a "deep, a wide and a very aggressive panic in the Democratic Party." His performance has led some members of the Democratic Party to consider replacing him as its nominee, however there is no indication of who would be proposed as a candidate and Biden's campaign has not signaled stepping down.

In a closer comparison, 43 percent felt Trump explained plans and policies well, compared to 35 percent for Biden. The most significant difference among voters was in inspiring confidence: 44 percent said Trump inspired confidence, while only 18 percent said the same for Biden. https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-g ... en-1919248

A Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll published Tuesday found Trump beating Biden by 3 percent in a six-candidate presidential ballot — a post-debate shift from a survey a month earlier that had the two candidates tied.
Another poll conducted for CNN by SSRS similarly found Trump holding a 6 percentage point lead over the president, unchanged from an earlier survey, but also this: Fifty-six percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning registered voters said their party has a better shot at winning with a candidate other than Biden.
