You’ll find deer, moose, wolves, mountain goats, eagles, bears and more.
Though the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road is only passable during the summer months, the park itself is open year-round. The Crown of the Continent Learning Center is also located within the park, providing research and education opportunities to explorers of every age.
For those looking to stay in the area overnight, take an opportunity to stay at one of the historic lodges in the Park. Majestic Glacier Park Lodge was built in 1912, and both Lake McDonald Lodge and Many Glacier Lodge were completed in 1914.
If you’re seeking a backcountry experience, many hiking, backpacking, and camping advertures await you. Keep in mind that Glacier is bear country, though — both black bear and grizzlies are native to the Park. Take time to become well versed in bear country safety to make the most of your Glacier Park experience.
