Kids and kids at heart are invited to join Missoula Parks and Recreation for Kidsfest 2018, a free summer celebration for Missoula families at Caras Park on Tuesday, July 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission and activities are free.
Kidsfest features an exciting variety of interactive games, arts and crafts, educational booths, live entertainment and fun activities for all ages. Entertainment headliners include The Salamanders, Animal Wonders and Childbloom Guitar. The Missoula Food Bank is providing free lunches for kids, and Missoula Fresh Market is providing fresh fruit. Kids will have a blast at fun activities like the Kiwanis Club Basketball Shoot, the Cabela’s Safe Archery Range, and Mountain Mojo’s photo booth.
Kidsfest is sponsored by Parks and Recreation, U-104.5 FM, Missoula Federal Credit Union, Republic Services, Community Medical Center, The Montana Club, United Way of Missoula County, Northwestern Energy, Missoula Pediatric Dentistry, Kiwanis International, Missoula Downtown Association and the Missoula Parking Commission.
The Missoula Parking Commission is offering free parking for Kidsfest in the New Park Lot, located between the Caras Park Pavilion and the Carousel. Hourly pay parking is available at Central Park, 128 W. Main and Park Place, 201 E. Front.
Kidsfest visitors may also park at McCormick Park and walk the short distance across the Orange Street Bridge to Caras Park. In addition, families can also ride the Mountain Line downtown for free.
