    Chopt, the fast-casual restaurant chain that focuses on salads rather than burgers, is set to open Aug. 15 at The Outlets at Bergen Town Center in Paramus.

    The 2,500-square-foot 50-seat space will offer its classic and build-your-own salad options. Classics include the Santa Fe salad with avocado, corn and pepperjack and the Mexican Caesar with jalapeno peppers and tortilla chips.

    Or build your own, choosing greens (arugula, kale, romaine, etc.), "core choppings" (carrots, beets, olives and so on), cheese and dairy (cottage cheese, feta, eggs.) and more. Bowls include Rex-Mex BBQ with BBQ brisket and Key West jerk chicken with crispy shallots and grape tomatoes.
